Why does the logo for Empowering Technology pop up on my screen, at least, 50 times a session? It's blocking me from seeing the screen and impossible to remove. I don't want it, I have never asked for it and it is driving me nuts. Please get rid of it.

The logo actually does something while it appears. It optimizes the computer usage. However, since it isn't mandatory to have it installed, go to System Tray and right click the "e" icon. Go to Preferences and disable its startup when computer boots. Additionally, if you want it off your computer, Go to Start > Search > Uninstall a program and locate it in the list. Click Uninstall, follow the uninstall procedure, then reboot the computer and it should be gone.
You can acquire it from Acer Drivers and Manuals web page. Identify your laptop model, select your operating systems and download and install the files from Application tab. If you can't find it, click All instead of Latest.

Try uninstalling the application and then installing it again. This should fix it. To download another version of this software, visit Acer Support and locate your product model. You will have this application listed on the Software tab.
Acer Empowering Technology can run only on Windows XP and Windows Vista on both 32 and 64-bit architecture. If you use one of these operating systems, go to Acer Driver and Manuals web page, identify your laptop model, select the operating system and download the software from the Application tab. If you use Windows 7, you can try to download and install Windows XP Mode and install Acer Empowering Technology in this environment. Windows XP Mode makes it easy to install and run many applications that run on Windows XP directly on a computer that runs Windows 7.
I can't download Acer Empowering Technology. I pressed on the provided link and I was redirected to Acer web page, but I can't find the package. How can I download the software? I have an Acer desktop and I deleted a part of the Acer Empowering Technology by accident. After that, I deleted everything by formatting the computer. Now, I don't have the program and its CD is not working. I need this program in order to open the video files by remote control.

I have upgraded to a new Dell computer. However, I have one file that was encrypted using Acer Empowering Technology and it was never decrypted before the computer crashed. So, now, I have a file that I can't even read. How can I decrypt this file? Do I need to buy all new software for my dead Acer laptop?

The only way to decrypt your file, is to use Acer Empowering Technology. Since this software cannot be installed on a Dell computer, I suggest you ask the users from Acer forum to decrypt your file. Otherwise, you will need to fix your old Acer laptop.
